• Can I rent a car at 18?

  At Yolcu360, our booking policies are based on the terms and conditions of our partner car rental companies. Most rental agencies in Turkey require drivers to have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year. Because of this rule, the minimum age to rent a car is typically 19.

• What is the young driver package in car rentals?

  The young driver package is a service offered by some car rental companies for individuals aged 19-21 who have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year. Guests under 21 can rent a car from agencies that provide this additional service.

• Can I rent a car without a credit card?

  You can pay for your Yolcu360 booking using debit cards or apps like Hepsipay. However, car rental companies will require a credit card at the time of pick-up. Since a credit card is mandatory for the security deposit, you cannot rent a car without one. Most car rental agencies in Turkey process the deposit (authorization) via a credit card. Therefore, a valid credit card in the main driver's name, displaying their full name and card number, is strictly required at the desk

• What documents are required to rent a car?

  To rent a car, a valid driver's license, an ID card, and a credit card are required. In some cases, rental companies may request additional documents such as a flight boarding pass and a passport.

• How long must I have held my driver's license to rent a car?

  Generally, you must have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year to rent a car, though this can vary depending on the country. For specific vehicle categories (such as premium or luxury cars), this requirement can increase to 2 to 5 years. Typically, newly licensed drivers cannot rent a vehicle until they have reached the 1-year mark.   For international rentals (such as in the US or Europe), car rental companies typically do not check your credit score as long as you provide a valid major credit card for the security deposit. However, if you plan to rent a vehicle using a debit card, some rental agencies may perform a soft credit check at the counter to verify your financial eligibility.

• What happens if someone else drives my rental car?

  Only the main driver and authorized additional drivers listed on the rental agreement are permitted to drive the rental car. If an unauthorized person operates the vehicle, all insurance and protection coverages will immediately become void.

  This means that if an unlisted driver is involved in an accident or receives a traffic fine, the person who originally rented the vehicle will be held fully liable for all financial damages, repair costs, and penalties.

  Additionally, since rental car records are officially registered with local law enforcement and government systems (such as KABİS in Turkey) depending on the country, an unauthorized person driving the car can lead to severe legal consequences during police checkpoints or emergencies.

• Can I drive a rental car to another country?

  Whether you can cross international borders with a rental car depends heavily on the country you are renting in and the specific policies of the car rental company.

  In certain regions, such as the European Schengen Area or between the US and Canada, cross-border travel is commonly permitted. However, you must inform the rental agency in advance, and a cross-border fee usually applies to cover additional insurance and taxes.

  In many other countries (including Turkey), taking a domestic rental vehicle across international borders is strictly prohibited. Regardless of who is at fault, you must always contact the rental company immediately and obtain a local police report to ensure your insurance coverage remains valid.

  If the vehicle is returned undamaged and in accordance with the agreed drop-off terms (such as the fuel policy), no deductions will be made, and you will receive a full refund.

• What is the minimum age to rent a car?
