Sun Rental Conditions

When picking up the vehicle, you must have your ID, driver's license, and a credit card issued in your name to collect the deposit fee.

If your rental is in a country outside of Turkey, you may be required to present an international driver's license in order to pick up the vehicle. This requirement may vary depending on the country of rental. To avoid any issues, we strongly recommend confirming the international driver's license requirement before picking up your vehicle.

Payment Information

During your online reservation, you can use any bank or credit card. If your booking includes additional products, these fees will be collected at the office. A credit card issued in your name is required for the deposit. Some suppliers may require two credit cards for certain vehicle categories.

Please note: For rentals outside Turkey, if you purchase any additional services at pick-up (e.g. insurance or vehicle upgrade), airport taxes and local fees will be recalculated and added to the total amount. Therefore, please be aware that selecting extra services may result in additional charges.

Border Policy

The scope of your cross-border travels with your rental car may vary depending on the supplier company, but the majority of suppliers do not allow you to take the rental car out of the country. You can review the supplier agreements for detailed information.

If you are planning to cross borders, you must inform the rental office about this before picking up the vehicle (preferably at least 48 hours in advance). You must also provide the name of the country, state, or island you intend to travel to, so it can be shared with our supplier.

Insurance and Coverage

The vehicle you have rented is insured under the mandatory third-party liability insurance provided by the car rental company. You may review the details of the insurance coverage, including any excess amount in case of damage, in the rental agreement provided to you. If you wish, you may also request further information from the company representative at the time of vehicle pick-up.

Under our current insurance terms, an excess of 500 Euro per damage applies.

In the event of a possible accident, it is important that all required documents (such as the accident report, alcohol test report, and the details of the other party involved) are prepared completely to ensure a smooth process. Please note that without these documents, no claim can be processed, and the repair procedure cannot be initiated based solely on the driver’s statement.

Guests who would like additional coverage may obtain information about supplementary protection packages through the rental company and easily choose the option that best suits their needs.

Important Information

Other rental conditions, other than the titles mentioned above, will be notified to you during the delivery of the car by a representative of the Sun Rent A Car company, to be submitted for your signature. Please do not forget to read the document presented to you before receiving the car.

Fuel Policy

When you pick up your vehicle, the fuel level should be the same as when you return it. Please check the fuel amount when you receive the car. If the fuel is less when you return the vehicle, you will be charged both a refueling fee and the cost of the missing fuel (based on the current market price per liter).
